Captain Cole, reporting

Hi all,

Captain Cole here, reporting out from AIDS Walk San Francisco. Today was an overcast day in Golden Gate Park, where over 20,000 people turned out to walk 10 kilometers (that's 6.2 miles to all you non-metric people) and raise money for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Whoa, it was a lot of people, let me tell ya.

I was the team captain this year for Team Brian Scott Productions, which my dad sponsors. This is the fourth year of the team and our best year yet (you're welcome, Dad). We had 13 people who actually came to the walk: me, Mom, Dad, Grammy, Poppie, Walt, Emalie, Dale, Ju Lei, Betsy, Marge, Mala and Brad. There were even more people who raised money even though they couldn't be here today for the walk. Thanks, guys!

Our team raised $4,068 overall, and I raised an amazing $1,275, which made me a Star Walker and meant I got to wear this cool crown. So THANKS to all of you who donated to me so generously...I was by far the most successful fundraiser among the 7-month-old crowd.

It was a really long walk - or so the people who are already walking tell me. For me, it wasn't too bad - I even got in a nap or two.

But we did it! It was a great time and now that I've got some experience under my belt, I'm hoping things are even bigger and better next year. Anyone who thinks they want to be part of the team next year, just let my dad know (or you can even email me at my very own email: captaincole@brianscottproductions.com). We've got people here from all over the country!! So no excuses. ;)

Well, after such a long day, I'm bushed. Signing off for now.....
